Will I get a certificate on the spot?

You will receive your Pool Safety Certificate or a Non-Conformity Notice within 2 working days of your inspection

You gave me a Non Conformity notice.
Now what?

You will have 90 days from the date of the Non-Conformity Notice. Inspectors operate under very strict legislation. If I am not asked to reinspect your pool within the 90 day period, I am obliged to forward a copy of the Non-Conformity Notice to the local authority.

Do you tell me what I need to fix?

The Non –Conformity Notice will detail all non- conforming issues. It will be easy to understand and it will offer suggested remedies. Your report will have photographs of problems and I am available to contact if you are unsure.

What do I have to pay for and when?

There is a charge for the initial inspection. This includes the cost of the Pool Safety Certificate. If your pool is compliant that is the total cost to you.

If there are Non Conforming issues that need repairing I will need to re-inspect once you have had them completed. This will incur a re-inspection fee. This may be reduced from the printed price if there is only a very minor repair required and not too timely to reinspect.

I only have an outdoor spa or above ground pool, do they need a Pool Safety Certificate?

Spa Pools and above ground pools are considered to be pools. If they are less than 1200mm high or have climbable sides a barrier providing separation will need to be in place. If the sides are 1200mm or more and non-climbable, then the entry point only will need to be separated by a barrier from the rest of the yard. Removal of portable steps or stairs does not constitute a barrier. There must be a designated entry area with a compliant barrier.
